Hello, I am Maaike! After having lived in Portugal for the last six months, I decided to start a dynamic life in the Netherlands as well. That is why started as freelancer at the end of 2019. After working on the plastic problem (in waterways) for years, in my private life and within different organisations (like Tauw and Recycled Island Foundation), this subject has become my speciality. Since an early age I have felt an intrinsic motivation to do something meaningful for the world. This has been one of the reasons that made me choose the study Water Management, which I finished in 2017. I am happy to apply my knowledge in the field of water and other environmental innovations in a project-based manner, and look forward to future challenges.
